News

December 19th, 2011 Season's greetings!
The Sunday Blues are still sequestered in Buzz 6 Studio (a/k/a Electric Lindseyland) recording our first full-length LP. To hold you kids over until the grand unveiling of our record, we've prepared a little holiday treat for y'all. In the spirit of Dylan, Babs, and the rest of the Yuletide-loving Chosen People, we present to you "I Love to be a Jew on Christmas." It's a bit rough, but what holiday isn't? Stay tuned for more Sunday Blues news you can use!
July 15th, 2011
The Sunday Blues would like our Summer 2011 to be known for two things: charitable acts and excessive alcohol consumption. With that in mind, we've got several gigs coming up that will benefit some of our favorite organizations and non-profits. Conveniently enough, most of these events will be taking place in venues with liquor licenses and drink specials. Nobody wins unless everybody wins.

The rest of July is shaping up rather well: We've got the Musicians On A Mission benefit at The Saint on July 19th, Banjo Jim's in the city on the 22nd, and the Asbury Rock Stars Charity Event at Asbury Blues on the 24th. Please consider coming out to support a bunch of lost causes doing their best to help out a bunch of good causes.

August is centered around the fifth annual Asbury Rock Stars Charity Softball Tournament. Our very own Lindsey Miller will be captaining the Diamond Dogs team once again. As a band, we've known the highest of highs and the lowest of lows when it comes to sloppily executed Saturday morning softball. Come out to Bert Willis Field in Neptune on August 27th - you'll be shocked to find out what they apparently aren't teaching in public school gym classes anymore. We're playing and accepting donations for the National MS Society, a worthy cause if there ever was one. If you'd like to get involved, contact any band members for more information. Similarly, if you'd like to get involved while ROCKING THE FUCK OUT, come on out to the Wonderbar on August 16th. We're hosting a night of music, featuring most of the bands on the Diamond Dogs roster. Every ticket sold helps to kick MS square in the dick!

We'll be updating the site with more information in the coming weeks. We suggest you stay glued to the page for all the late breaking news in the Sunday Blues universe - what else were you planning on doing, going outside or something?

We are just waking up from the holiday hangover and had a great time playing with Rick Barry at his 9th annual Holiday Hangover event held at The Saint. It's a new year to come and lots of exciting opportunities are coming up. Great things are to come.

August 31st, 2010
We are getting excited for the up coming Paramount Sessions. Featuring Rick Barry, Jerzy Jung annd Outside the Box.
